Northwest student among 40 selected for Agriculture Future of America Ambassador program

“Northwest is helping me to become prepared for my desired career through both the School of Agricultural Sciences as well as the School of Mass Media and Communication,琼斯说. “In each, I am able to gain hands-on skills I will one day be using in my career.”

Jones is an agricultural media major from Higginsville, Missouri. 在西北, he works as a social media specialist in the Office of University Marketing and Communication as well as with student publications. 另外, he is active as an off-campus representative and 公共关系 chair for Student Senate and served as concert director for Student Activities Council.

Student media outlets pick up awards at national media convention

Northwest Missouri State University Student Media received numerous accolades Oct. 26-30, 2022 at MediaFest22, a national media convention sponsored by Associated Collegiate Press (ACP), College Media Association (CMA) and the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ), 在华盛顿, D.C.

KNWT第八频道, The Northwest Missourian student newspaper and Tower yearbook were recognized with CMA Pinnacle Awards, representing the best in the nation in student media, in nine different categories, including three first-place honors.
